  • 30th Anniversary Pressing of "Condensed Flesh"
    Record/Vinyl + Digital Album

Eye 95 Records announces the 30th anniversary pressing of the "Condensed Flesh” 7” ep, by Washington D.C. hardcore band, Void. 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the original pressing, and the founding of Eye 95 Records by John Sybert and Sean Finnegan. “Condensed Flesh” was an early demo by the band from which the three songs that appeared on “Flex Your Head” originated. It was recorded at the infamous Inner Ear Studio with Ian MacKaye acting as Producer and Engineer Don Zientara. This recording shows the band at an early developmental stage of their career.

It has been pressed with the original stamper plates, created by the now defunct Bill Smith Custom Records. Warren Hull, from Musicol Recording Studios, pressed the reissues on translucent gold vinyl, with a green label. This color scheme was chosen to honor Sean Finnegan and his Irish heritage. The 30th Anniversary art was created by Dave Dobyski and will be available on various types of merchandise.

Includes unlimited streaming of Condensed Flesh via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.

about

The “Condensed Flesh” EP, released on Eye 95 Records, consisted of a demo session that the band, Void, recorded in 1981 at Inner Ear Studio. It was Produced by Ian MacKaye and Engineered by Don Zientara. The demo had 12 songs, of which three were used for the Flex Your Head compilation album, released by Dischord in 1982. The songs included were “Dehumanized”, “No More Authority” and “My Rules.” This demo was very raw and did not utilize the production techniques which appeared on the official Void/Faith release, a few years later. From this demo the song “Get Out Of My Way” appeared on the obscure, yet revered, Fountain of Youth release, “Bouncing Babies”. That track gave fans one more Void song to devour.
